Visitors to Butterton
Butterton is a picturesque village in the Staffordshire Moorlands, nestled above the breathtaking Manifold Valley within the renowned Peak District National Park, our village is a haven for nature lovers. With its picturesque surroundings, there are no shortage of local attractions to explore. Thor's cave is just a stone's throw away within the Manifold Valley and nearby are popular destinations such as Alton Towers, Peak Wildlife Park, and the stunning Dovedale Valley. Additionally, our village's convenient location makes it easy to visit nearby towns and landmarks including Leek, Ashbourne, Buxton, Bakewell, Matlock, and the magnificent Chatsworth House. Join us in celebrating the beauty and charm of Butterton, and discover all that this incredible area has to offer.

Butterton also has the good fortune to be a Doubly Thankful Village. One of only 18 villages in Britain where all the men survived and returned from both world wars. See here for more information.

We hope to welcome you soon.
